This year I am fundraising for LifePath by participating in the annual Walkathon. I would appreciate your support of this wonderful human service agency. They say it best: "At LifePath, we listen first, and then help each person find the best options for their unique needs. We help elders and persons with disabilities maintain independence and quality of life in their own homes and communities. We help caregivers to find relief and help loved ones to choose the right path."
Meals on Wheels connects community. For several years, my second-grade students worked with sixth graders to create beautiful Valentines that were distributed through LifePath's Meals-on-Wheels program. It was so wonderful to listen to the conversations as students thought carefully about how to communicate care to someone they didn't even know. After my mother's death, Meals on Wheels was such an important part of supporting my father as he made the transition to living alone. Our family was so grateful for the personal contact and nourishment this provided our dad.
Meals on Wheels is just one of the many ways that LifePath supports individuals and their families as they navigate challenging circumstances. Thanks for supporting the work of this important community organization in western Massachusetts!
